Gall. Dull green, subfusiform or elongate-oval, more or less tapering to a long point at the apex, which sometimes show parts of deformed leaves. Inside it is hollow, inhabited by a single larva in a rather large oval chamber at the bast of the gall. Beyond this chamber it is lined with whitish fiber to the tip of the gall. It measures from 8 to 22 mm in length and from 4 to 8 in width.
