Gallformers ID Notes

A spindle-shaped Amphibolips gall similar to that of Amphibolips quercuscitriformis in every way except that it was found at the end of a catkin rather than the leaf, stem, or bud. The catkin was slightly thicker and remained on the tree longer than ungalled catkins.

Observed on Quercus hemisphaerica in Florida in June.
