Gallformers ID Notes

A pocket gall formed by pinching the lamina of a leaf of Salix lasiolepis upward, opening with a linear slit below, accompanied by chewing feeding. Leaf tissue was folded without apparent thickening of tissue. Cf Phyllocolpa. Observed in California in August.
