Gallformers ID Notes

A cluster of tan-brown globular galls on the base of petioles of Quercus macrocarpa. Similar to galls of Andricus quercusstrobilanus but always globular, sometimes flattened at the intersection of two galls but never with the raised geometric facets that define that gall. Observed in Texas from August through November.
