Fig 198. "On a species of wild rose from the San Jacinto valley in S. Calif. planted in a Berkeley garden." The types emerged Jan. 20, Feb. 7, 15 and Mar. 7 from galls collected in November. Galls from Los Gatos on Rosa californica sent to Washington gave adults Mar .5, 5, 26 and Apr. 16. Adults were still alive in packet when galls from Truckee were examined on April 27.
