Gallformers ID Notes

Galls appear on the buds and flowers of Galium angustifolium. The galls have a distinctive sheen to them, and are of a tan to yellow color, some with a red sheen on them. Galls shrivel and turn maroon to black with age. Each gall contains a single orange larvae within it's thin walls.

Determined by Raymond Gagne to be Resseliella based on larval specimens. Galls were observed in California in April, May, and July.
