Gallformers ID Notes

Red, thorn-shaped galls on the leaf veins of Amelanchier alnifolia. The galls begin to curl towards their tips, and are colored yellow-tan at the base. [This is the same as the Tooth-Gall-Midge described in Russo 2021, and illustrated in plates 553 and 554.]
