Gallformers ID Notes

A globular swelling in the stem of Stachys chamissonis just beneath a node, densely covered in short white hairs not obscuring the surface. Apparently fresh galls observed in Oregon in July and October. According to Ray Gagne (see comment here), this gall is induced by an undescribed species in the genus Neolasioptera.
