Procecidochares kristineae and P. lisae are strictly monophagous tephritid flies forming axillary bud galls on the branches of the native, shrubby, xerophytic ragweeds Ambrosia dumosa (Gray) Payne and A. eriocentra (Gray) Payne (Asteraceae), respectively. [see this paper for much more information]
