Bionomics of a subterranean gall midge (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) from Artemisia ludoviciana

Galls at bases of aerial shoots and young rhizomal branches (likely on buds on these tissues); both monothalamous and polythalamous; individual galls more or less globular; creamy white, sometimes with violet colored areas.
