A moderately sized, sparsely to densely long-hairy globular gall narrowly attached near the midrib on the lower side of leaves of Salix bebbiana, single or in rows along the length of the leaf. The surface is yellow to pink-red and sparsely dotted with darkened lenticels. They differ from this woolly gall also tentatively known from Salix bebbiana in their much smaller profile from the upper side of the leaf, their thinner layer of hairs not completely obscuring the surface, and their orientation along the length of the leaf rather than across the midrib. Observed in Minnesota in June and in Ontario in August.
