Gallformers ID Notes

Moderately sized, hairy or hairless, green-yellow to deep red, globular galls, often spotted with white or red-brown lenticels, on leaves of Salix hookeriana. These galls typically extend less than the full distance between the midrib and leaf edge, project much more on the lower side than above, and are found either alone or in groups of up to 5. Observed in northern California and Oregon from June to October.
