Large, white-hairy globular galls on the lower side of the leaf of Salix alaxensis, presenting a small portion above the leaf. This gall differs from the similar woolly gall known from Salix bebbiana in its host and its orientation relative to the midrib. Rather than occurring in a pair on either side of the midrib, this gall occurs in a pair along the length of the midrib. Observed in Alaska in July.
