Gallformers ID Notes

Large globular galls formed on flowers of Spermacoce verticillata. The galls deform the flowers beyond recognition and may be mistaken for stem galls, attached at leaf nodes. The surface is hairless but rough and peeling. Observed in southern Florida in January.
