The taxonomy and biology of Eutreta (Diptera: Tephritidae)

E. oregona produces galls on Artemisia tridentata tridentata and A. tridentata vaseyana. The galls range in size from 3 by 5 mm. to 4 by 6.5 mm. Eggs laid in the lateral buds during June and July hatch and larvae induce galls from which adults emerge the following June.
