This fly was reared from cylindric enlargements of the flower stalks of Verbena prostrata collected by P. H. Timberlake, November 13, 1910, in the Puente Hills, Whittier, Cal. ... November 30 one gall was full of healthy larvae evidently hibernating in silken tubes attached to the walls of the gall.
