Gallformers ID Notes

Large, irregularly globular, short-hairy, yellow-green to pink-red galls on new shoots on fire-damaged Carya species, likely Carya texana. Observed in Texas in April. This may be an unusual expression of a described species due to the circumstances of the fire damage, or it may be an undescribed species.
