Gallformers ID Notes

A slight swelling at the base of the previous year's twig growth on Quercus alba, containing many cells in the wood, emerging by July. Galls contained adult wasps. Consistent with similar galls on other white-group oaks induced by cynipids in the genera Loxaulus and Bassettia. Observed in Ontario.
