Non-native gall on [mostly?] non-native hosts. A pest advisory issued in Hawaii in 2008 describes the gall, noting that "leaves curl and appear deformed while petioles and shoots become swollen. After feeding is complete, larvae pupate within the leaf and stem tissue ..." The wasp has harmed or killed both native and non-native trees in Hawaii and was found on ornamental coral trees in Florida in 2006.
