Gallformers ID Notes

Tapered, linear-shaped galls on Gutierrezia sarothrae and microcephala flowers. The galls have a thin base and taper into a wider, spindle-like shape that narrows at the gall apex. Galls are ridged longitudinally and covered with what appear to be small crystalline structures. They are pink when fresh and sometimes the apex is paler yellow.
