Gallformers ID Notes

Oops! It looks like the folks on BugGuide thought this was probably an inquiline in a Schizomyia umbellicola gall, and the larva possibly a beetle that tunnels in stems and petioles of this plant. bugguide.net/node/view/1668992/bgpage

[Found in Santa Clara County, California. It is possible this is not a gall, but, if undissected, it could easily be mistaken for a developing Schizomyia umbellicola gall, which is also found in this part of California.]
