Chrysopsis gossypina (Michx.) Elliott subsp. hyssopifolia (Nutt.) Semple (Asteraceae) (Benjamin 1934, as Heterotheca trichophylla (Nutt.) Shinners); Chrysopsis (Nutt.) Ell. spp.(see below); stem galls (reared).

We have found galls of this species in C . linearifolia Semple, C. scabrella Torr. & Grey, and C. gossypina (and/or gossypina x scabrella?). Adults of P. quadrifasciata have also been collected in association with other species of Chrysopsis in Florida.
