A specimen reared from a gall on a rose in a nursery in NJ was determined as this European species. Similar adults have been reared from a lobed terminal stem gall on Rosa rubiginosa in Ohio, the adults emerging May 12-18.

A single female determined as this European species was reared in May from a rose of European origin in nursery in New Jersey. Others from galls on Rosa rubiginosa at Dayton OH were reared May 12, 13, 15, 18.
