C reburrata is known from southern Maryland to Florida on P. laee/a and from Cuba on P. caribaea. It is responsible tor large, pitch-filled nodes on twigs and branches in which the larvae. up to I cm in length. live gregariousÂly. Pupation occurs in silken tubes within the pitch masses.
