Cynipid galls of the southwest

Mimosa biuncifera [aculeaticarpa]
Abrupt woody stem swelling, kidney-shaped, 15 by 22 mm. From this gall the guest cynipid, Myrtopsen mimosae Weld. 2, was cut out of the very hard galls on Aug. 10 ( galls collected July 10 ). Huachuca Mts.
