Gallformers ID Notes

Gall that appears as an enlarged bud, as a tight rosette of elongated bud scales, in a pair on Quercus phellos. Observed in North Carolina in April. This gall resembles those known from the genus Erythres in Mexico, which has not been documented in the US.
