Receptaculum broadly effused, bright rosy-red, becoming pruinose, thickening but only slightly distorting the affected parts; spores hyaline, fusiform, straight. μ 10-12 X 4-5. On young shoots and leaves of Arctostaphylos pungens. Tamalpais, May, June.
