Gallformers ID Notes

Dark red galls occuring at the base of Quercus pungens twigs. The area near the gall apex is somewhat rugose, perhaps due to age. These galls are somewhat similar in appearance to the galls of several Disholcaspis species also occuring on southwestern oaks (ie. D. rubens and D. lacuna).
