Swollen, aborted flower buds (146) .... Asphondylia integrifoliae Felt

Infested flowers are about twice the diameter of normal flowers. One larva occurs per flower and pupates there. Adults emerge from the current year's flowers, so there may be another generation of a different part of the plant. Hosts: R. integrifolia, R. trilobata. Distr.: Utah and California. Ref.: Felt (1916).
