The plant-feeding gall midges of North America

Spherical stem and leaf enlargement...Galls are small, reportedly about 2 mm in diameter. Felt (1940) identified the gall maker as ?Asteromyia....but it is doubtful they belonged to Asteromyia, a genus restricted to a tribe of Asteraceae. Host: Sanicula sp. Dist.: unspecified.
