The plant-feeding gall midges of North America

Oval, discolored stem depression...Neolasioptera apocyni (Felt)

Larvae live in individual cells just below the stem surface. An adult was reared from stems in August, so there may be more than one generation of this species each year. Host: A. androsaemifolium. Dist.: New Jersey. Ref: Weiss and West (1921).
