Gallformers ID Notes

Conical galls with a fringe of short lobes around the base attached to the petioles of Quercus ?obtusata. The gall is light-green and densely covered with short white hairs that don't obscure the surface. Observed in Michoacan, Mexico in December. Galls are softer than Disholcaspis galls when fresh but harden as they dry.
