New species of gall-producing cecidomyidae

Cecidomyia umbellicola

Cecidomyia sambuci umbellicola

The gall of this species was found by Osten Sacken on the red-berried elder (Sambucus pubens [racemicola]). I have taken it in June on the common elder (Sambucus canadensis). The larva and adult are unknown.
