Stem galls, woody stem swellings or cells under the bark
Fusiform, 10 mm, lop-sided, cells nested, on new growth in June. Fig 62.

  1. Stem swelling on new growth in June (Camp Baldy). Q. chrysolepis. Galls collected in summer and fall have been empty.
