Cell on a prolongation of a vein beyond the leaf margin, spindle-shaped. Fig 99.
Fig 99. On Q. chrysolepis. Occurs on Q. vaccinifolia also. Often more slender than the photo. Usually single, sometimes 4 on one leaf. Those collected in summer and fall have been empty. Never reared.
