Many thin-walled, small cells hidden in similar [to Andricus frondeum] mass of dead bud scales. Fig 77.

  1. A large mass of dead brown bud scales in fall. Q. chrysolepis . Inside are several thin-walled, pointed cells, 2.0 mm. long. Never reared.
