Gallformers ID Notes

A hidden cell in small acorns on new growth in the spring on Quercus virginiana, causing acorns to cease development. Emerging in late May or early June, leaving a small circular egress hole. Dissection revealed a cynipid larval cell. Observed in Houston, TX.
