Callirhytis ceropteroides n. sp.
Galls. — Slight enlargements of base of the annual growths of the shoots of tinctoria. These swellings are often so inconspicuous that it is very difficult to distinguish them from the unaffected branches. Occasionally one is so developed as to attract notice. They are polythalamous, though only a few insects are found in even the largest. Found in July at Crescent Beach, Branford, Conn.
