The gall's range is computed from the range of all hosts that the gall occurs on. In some cases we have evidence that the gall does not occur across the full range of the hosts and we will remove these places from the range. For undescribed species we will show the expected range based on hosts plus where the galls have been observed.

Andricus sphaericus Pujade-Villar n. sp.
[Gall (Fig 5a-c) photos show galls very similar to those of Andricus quercuspetiolicola]. Globular (0.7-1.6 mm in diameter), plurilocular and hard. It is the result of a swelling of the midrib and/or secondary veins of the leaf; sometimes the leaf disappears completely. Light green in color when young and dark green to black at maturity. The surface is covered in light brown stellate trichomes. The gall contains between 5-15 larval chambers, each 3 x 1 mm, distributed radially, separated by a hard woody tissue.
