Habitat: Reared from galls picked up on the ground under a red oak tree and thought at the time to be galls of Dryocosmus piperoides. NJ, IL, MI, VA

Distribution: NJ, PA, IL, MI, VA

Biology.--Only the unisexual generation is known. It induces leaf galls on Quercus rubra. Galls mature in October and drop to the ground, adults emerge in April-May.
