New American Cynipid Wasps From Oak Galls

Antron tepicana, new species

Host: Quercus reticulata [rugosa]

Gall: Similar to that of A chica, up to 60 mm in diameter, the inner pile with transparent, tapering tips 5 mm deep, the long outer crumpled hairs not swollen at the base. Larval cell up to 12 mm high by 6 mm in diameter.

Habitat: Galls were collected Jan 22 1936, at Tepic Mexico. Adults emerged and died in box before April.
